Dr. Cohen is a Board Certified Dermatologist. A graduate of the University of
Toronto. A fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a Diplomat of The American Board of Dermatology. He is a member of the Michigan Dermatology Society along with the American and International Societies of Dermatologic Surgery. He is the Director of Dermatology at St Joseph Mercy Hospital Oakland. The office is staffed by three registered nurses and a certified medical aesthetician for non invasive procedures. This office is fully contracted with Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Medicare and most if not all commercial . Fee for services is determined by the insurance contractor including all deductibles and copays. If Medicare is primary the government requires all claims to be submitted to them directly. A 24 hour answering mechanism exists for all non emergencies. Urgencies and emergencies are referred to St Joseph Mercy Hospital or clinics. Pathology specimens are read under the direction of Northwest Pathology services and St Joseph Mercy Hospital and any concerns of coverage should be directed accordingly. Dr Cohen has his own commercial line of products which include facial cosmetics and a specific unique anti-viral wart compound.
